Cover Supervisor Harrogate

justteachers Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a local secondary school in Harrogate. This will be a long term assignment until the summer on a supply basis. You will be available from February half-term.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with classroom experience or those considering a career in teaching to gain valuable experience in a variety of school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.
• Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Assisting students with their work and responding to any questions or problems they might have.
• Following school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive classroom environment.
• Providing feedback to the regular classroom teacher on student progress and any issues encountered during the day.

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments and handle various subjects.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to supporting students’ learning and development.
