Justteachers is seeking a full time SEN Teaching assistant at a SEN school based in Stratford upon Avon. This role is starting as soon as possible and will be on going until the summer of 2025. This role is a temp to perm role.

Working as a SEN Teaching assistant will require you to always be fast thinking and engaging with the students you are working with. There will be times in the day where you will be in small groups as well. The school caters for students aged between the ages of 8-19. The classes are small, with only around 5-8 children per class so it will be very interactive throughout the day. The ideal candidate will be some patient, passionate and someone who wants to make a difference!

Responsibilities:

  • Working 1 to 1
  • Supporting class teacher
  • Leading small groups
  • Reporting to class teacher to implement specialised plan for the student you’re working with
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence through the use of clear, consistent approaches.
  • Building positive relationships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open communication about student progress and well-being.

Ideal Candidates will have :

  • DBS on the update service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • SEN and One to One experience prior
  • Ability to lead if needed
  • Teaching Assistant qualification
