Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary schools in Castleford. This opportunity is open to part time and full time candidates, looking for a job starting January 2025. Responsibilities:

  • Support class teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Lead small group interventions and provide targeted support to students with varying needs.
  • Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school community.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
