Justteachers are seeking a SEMH Primary Teacher to join a progressive alternative provision school in Boston. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive environment with students who experience Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to primary-aged students with SEMH needs.
  • Support students with challenging behaviours, Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs in a nurturing and structured environment.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the school team.
  • Encourage positive behaviours, emotional regulation, and academic progress through innovative teaching strategies.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students can thrive.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) and relevant experience working in SEN/SEMH environments or Primary Schools.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and additional learning needs.
  • Experience in creating and delivering tailored lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • An enhanced DBS.
  • Two education or school-based references.
  • You must have the legal requirements to work in the UK.
