SEMH Specialists (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)

 

justteachers are supporting their partner SEND Schools and Alternative Provisions within Lincoln and across LIncolnshire to provide specialist support staff who can react quickly to meet the needs of schools new intake and referrals, work with existing students who require more support and to help provide sickness cover.

 

We are looking to recruit specialist support staff with experience supporting Students with SEND for short term roles and interventions within school settings of all types across West Yorkshire. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience providing optimum levels of social and emotional developmental support through the following interventions:

 

  • Art, Music and Drama Therapy
  • Social life and work place skills workshops
  • Mindfulness, Yoga and Dance Therapy
  • Food Technology Workshops
  • Progressive Literacy Interventions
  • Multi-Sensory Maths Intervention
  • Lego Therapy
  • Animal Therapy

 

 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • Understanding of mental health issues and their impact on learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Previous experience working with children in a professional setting.
  • Two education or school-based references.
  • A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or 3 TA qualification.
  • Qualifications in child psychology, mental health support, or relevant fields.
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
