A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a large primary school in Spalding, Lincolnshire to work along the Pastoral Lead as a Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant.

 

The successful candidate must be able to show excellent organisational and communication skills with children and colleagues. Candidates must be able to show compassion, patience, trustworthiness and reliability.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting children to access their learning in inclusive environment whilst maintaining high aspirations for all
  • Assisting the Pastoral Lead within the schools the Nurture Room
  • Adapting activities to meet the needs of the children, ensuring appropriate support is in place
  • Liaising with families and SLT to ensure the needs of each student is met

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a professional setting
  • Experience supporting in SEN or SEMH environments
  • A level 2 or 3 TA qualification is highly desirable
  • A caring and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting every child’s individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varied needs of students
