Position Details:

  • Start Date: After February half-term until Easter
  • Duration: Temporary, with the possibility of extension
  • Location: Leeds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Cover key areas such as English Language, English Literature, and creative writing, fostering analytical and communication skills.
  • Prepare students for GCSE English exams, providing tailored support to help them achieve their potential.
  • Use creative teaching methods to bring texts and literary themes to life.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with the English department to deliver a stimulating and inclusive curriculum.
  • Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, confidence, and respect for diverse perspectives.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching English to KS3/4
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
