justteachers are seeking a Geography Teacher to join a smaller than average secondary school the Tameside area to cover on a long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start after February half term with shortlisting currently taking place.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach geography lessons to students across various year groups, ensuring that content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the curriculum to promote understanding of key geographical concepts
• Assess and Support Student Progress: Regularly assess students’ progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback and offering additional support to help all students achieve their full potential
• Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a passion for geography, while managing behaviour and maintaining high standards of conduct
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
• Relevant qualifications
• Proven experience teaching geography
• Strong knowledge of the UK Geography curriculum
• Two education or school-based references
