Justteachers are looking for an experienced and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to work within one of our partner Secondary schools in Leicester. As a DT Teacher you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, teaching a range of different aspects of design and ensuring students health and safety is at the focus of your delivery at all times. The role would start after February half term and last until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering engaging lessons that cover design principles, materials, and technology applications
  • Ensuring a safe, organized, and productive environment for students to work and collaborate
  • Teaching and enforcing safety protocols for equipment and materials used in the classroom
  • Evaluating students’ progress through assignments, projects, and exams

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 / KS4
  • Two education/school-based references
  • A clear enhanced DBS
