Justteachers teaching agency, are currently working with a small and friendly primary school in the Horncastle area, that are looking for a caring and friendly SEN (Special Education Needs) Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is a long-term role expected to last until April 2025, with the potential of being extended. The school are looking for a kind and caring TA to work with a SEN student, 4 afternoons a week (12 hours per week.) The child is in KS2.

The school offer a kind and inclusive setting for all children to attend, they have a clear behaviour management policy that children respect and follow. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that really make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support student with KS2 SEN on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist in the delivery of specific interventions and programs tailored to students’ needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students feel valued and supported
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching resources and classroom setup
  • Monitor and track students’ progress, reporting to the class teacher

Requirements:

  • Two references from an education or care provider
  • Experience working within the age range 2-11
  • Energy, enthusiasm and vision
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Experience of providing a positive learning environment
  • UK Legal right to work
  • DBS on the update service or willing for one to be applied for
