Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Health & Social Care lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop students’ understanding of key concepts in Health & Social Care, such as health and wellbeing, care practices, and social responsibility, to prepare them for academic and professional success.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and achievement in the subject.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Social Care department to enhance the curriculum and actively participate in school activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Health & Social Care.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
  • Two education or school-based references.
  • A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
