Justteachers teaching agency is working alongside a Secondary School in Leeds to help them find a full time Teacher of English to start as soon as possible. The post offers a fantastic opportunity for a teacher to join a welcoming school for a long term supply role expected to last until at least Easter with a possible extension until the end of the academic year.

The English Faculty is a thriving and vibrant area of the school. They work incredibly hard as a team to support pupils to make excellent progress in their learning from their varied starting points on entry.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Two education or school based references
  • An enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one
  • The legal right to work in the UK
