An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Teacher of History to join a dynamic team at a secondary school in Halifax.

The school seeks a committed educator interested in a long-term role with the potential for permanency. Flexible start dates are available, with options to begin immediately, after the February half-term, or at Easter.

As part of an ambitious Academy Trust, the school is looking to appoint a full-time, permanent Teacher of Geography who demonstrates enthusiasm, innovation, and a dedication to high standards for both their students and themselves. The ideal candidate will inspire students across all abilities, delivering Geography lessons at KS3 and KS4 that are creative, engaging, and designed to help students reach their full potential.

The successful Teacher of Geography will work collaboratively within the Humanities Department, with ongoing support from the Head of Faculty. This opportunity is open to all qualified Teachers of Geography, from experienced educators to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) embarking on their teaching journey.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching History at the secondary level, with a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Passion for History and a commitment to inspiring a love for the subject among students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
  • Two education or school-based references
  • An enhanced DBS checks or be willing to apply for one
  • The legal right to work in the UK
