Justteachers are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Boston starting January 2025. This rewarding role involves supporting students with challenging behaviour, Autism, and ADHD in a nurturing and structured environment.

About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs in both one-to-one and group settings.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages engagement and progress.
  • Assist the teaching staff with classroom management and lesson delivery.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience working with SEMH students or those with Autism, ADHD, or behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Proven behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and flexible attitude towards supporting vulnerable learners.
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
