We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a progressive secondary school in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to prepare students for a technology-driven future and ignite their enthusiasm for computing and programming.

         Responsibilities 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and, if applicable, Key Stage 5.
  • Teach core topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, systems architecture, networks, and cybersecurity.
  • Incorporate real-world applications of Computer Science, preparing students for future careers in technology.
  • Utilize diverse teaching techniques, including hands-on coding, problem-solving tasks, and project-based learning.
  • Inspire students to engage in computational thinking and develop their programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or HTML/CSS.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing detailed feedback to support learning and growth.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status  must hold or be working towards this qualification.
  •  A strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field, with comprehensive knowledge of the UK Computer Science curriculum.
  • Familiarity with programming languages, software development tools, and modern technology trends.
  •  Creative and innovative teaching approach to make Computer Science accessible and exciting for all learners.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Capable of planning lessons effectively, managing classroom dynamics, and meeting deadlines.
  •  Enthusiasm for staying updated with emerging trends in computing and integrating them into teaching.
  • Previous teaching experience or a strong commitment to mentoring young learners is desirable.
