Justteachers Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at an SEMH school in Leamington Spa . This full-time role is set to start in January 2025 and offers the opportunity to work across KS1  departments, depending on the needs of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs across KS1
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Support students in managing emotions and behaviours, fostering a positive and safe classroom environment.
  • Assist in the delivery of lessons, adapting resources to meet the needs of students.
  • Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions to help students engage with their learning.
  • Encourage and support the emotional and social development of students, helping them build resilience and confidence.
  • Track and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other professionals as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting students with Autism needs, ideally within a school setting.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different key stages (KS1
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with students with special needs
  • Good understanding of strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour management.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA qualifications, SEN experience) are desirable but not essential.
  • You must have right to work in the UK
