Justteachers Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at an SEMH school in Leamington Spa . This full-time role is set to start in January 2025 and offers the opportunity to work across KS1 departments, depending on the needs of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs across KS1
Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Support students in managing emotions and behaviours, fostering a positive and safe classroom environment.
Assist in the delivery of lessons, adapting resources to meet the needs of students.
Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions to help students engage with their learning.
Encourage and support the emotional and social development of students, helping them build resilience and confidence.
Track and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other professionals as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience supporting students with Autism needs, ideally within a school setting.
Ability to work flexibly across different key stages (KS1
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with students with special needs
Good understanding of strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour management.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA qualifications, SEN experience) are desirable but not essential.
