Justteachers is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Teacher to work on a part-time basis at a supportive and dynamic Pupil Referral Unit in Coventry. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students who need additional support, providing them with a nurturing and structured learning environment.

 

About the School:

Located in Coventry, this Pupil Referral Unit provides a safe and inclusive space for students who may have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. The unit prides itself on offering personalized learning and tailored support, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. The team is dedicated to fostering a positive, resilient, and encouraging atmosphere for both students and staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for students with a range of academic and behavioural needs.

Promote a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students’ personal development and confidence.

Use a variety of strategies to manage challenging behaviour and support students in overcoming barriers to learning.

Collaborate with other staff members to create tailored learning plans for each student.

Monitor and track students’ progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience working with students with additional needs or in a PRU setting is preferred.

Strong classroom management skills, particularly in handling challenging behaviour.

A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and working with students who require extra support.

A Clear Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

The right to work in the UK.
