About the Role:

justteachers are working with a partner school in South Manchester who are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification to make a positive impact on the pupils in their school? They are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 2 (KS2) in the first instance but with flexibility to support pupils across all key stages. It is a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking setting and could be a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to helping them achieve their full potential. The position rund from January to April in the first instance but has the potential to be extended until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Assist pupils with their learning, providing 1:1 or small-group support where needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage participation and confidence.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Supervise pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes, and school trips.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values and ethos.

What We are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • A proactive approach to supporting learning and development.
  • A relevant qualification (Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) Candidates working towards Level 3 may be considered.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
