Justteachers Teaching Agency is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Ashton-Under-Lyne. This school has a warm, family-like atmosphere with 204 students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact within a small, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of Year 2 students.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support as required.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and development.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community to support student progress.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as part of a supportive team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in a Primary School, ideally within Key Stage 1.
  • A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to a variety of learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
