The Role:
As a Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences. Working across various subjects, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons to secondary school students.
Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a focused learning environment.
Supporting students with their learning and ensuring progress is made.
Liaising with school staff to provide feedback on the day’s activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or individuals with relevant teaching experience seeking flexible work.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide effective teaching across a range of subjects.
Adapt to different school environments and establish positive relationships with students.
Follow school policies and procedures, including behaviour management systems.
Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are met at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred.
Previous teaching or classroom experience in a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Flexibility and reliability to work in a variety of schools.
A commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Availability to work on a flexible basis.
