The Role:
This is a full-time role where you will provide essential support to students and staff across the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
Morning: Delivering focused 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their skills, and achieve their potential.
Afternoon: Offering general classroom support to teachers, assisting with group activities, managing resources, and contributing to the overall learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Build a positive, trusting relationship with the child receiving 1:1 support.
Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing learning resources.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications:
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential.
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
