About the Role:
As a History Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for learning about the past. Your ability to engage students and build positive relationships will help them connect with the subject and realize their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4, tailoring your approach to meet diverse needs.
Inspire students to explore and analyze historical events, fostering critical thinking and a love for the subject.
Build strong relationships with students to earn their trust and respect, creating a positive learning environment.
Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain focus and progress in the classroom.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support student success.
Actively contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos, supporting students’ personal and academic growth.
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching History at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
Resilient, empathetic, and committed to helping students overcome challenges.
Strong behavior management skills and the ability to inspire trust and respect.
A passion for History and a desire to share that enthusiasm with students.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a reflective and proactive approach to teaching.
