About the Role:
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in equipping students with practical skills and creative problem-solving abilities. You will deliver engaging lessons that ignite curiosity and empower students to develop a love for design and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons across Design and Technology specialisms, such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, Textiles, and Graphics, at KS3 and KS4.
Inspire students to think critically and creatively, fostering a passion for innovation and hands-on learning.
Ensure lessons are inclusive and tailored to meet the needs of all learners, promoting progress and achievement.
Maintain a safe and well-equipped workshop, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and share best practices.
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and events.
About You:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4; KS5 is a bonus).
• A passion for inspiring creativity and practical skills in students.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching.
