£90 - £120 PER DAY DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a school in Shipley. This is a full-time position, starting in January 2024, and offers the opportunity to work across all year groups in our vibrant two-form entry school. This role be until summer 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality support to class teachers, assisting in the delivery of lessons across all year groups (EYFS to Key Stage 2).
Plan and deliver small group and one-to-one interventions for students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Assist in the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials to ensure accessibility for all learners, including those with additional learning needs.
Take on the role of supervising classes and leading activities in the absence of the class teacher.
Support the effective management of the classroom, including behaviour management and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to class teachers to inform planning and interventions.
Help to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and assist in developing tailored strategies to meet their individual needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Support the overall ethos of the school and contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive school culture.

About You:

You must hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent and have proven experience in a similar role.
Experience working with children across a range of age groups (EYFS to Key Stage 2) is essential.
A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and strategies for supporting students with varying abilities.
Ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage your time effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, with a commitment to ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
Strong behaviour management skills, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
