We are working with a dedicated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Boston, Lincolnshire, committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students facing significant challenges. Role Overview:

We are seeking an empathetic and proactive Interventions Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on working with Year 10 and 11 students who have experienced trauma and exhibit behavioural issues. The successful candidate will develop and implement individualized intervention plans aimed at improving students’ academic performance, emotional well-being, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver targeted intervention programs for students in Years 10 and 11.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including teachers, counselors, and support staff, to create cohesive support plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Develop strong relationships with students to build trust and encourage positive behavior.
  • Engage with parents and carers to ensure consistent support and communication.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an SEMH or similar setting.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviors and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the impact of trauma on learning and behavior.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
