Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary schools in Castleford. The role is to start in January 2025 and finishes at the end of the summer term. Currently there is opportunity for part time and full time staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled teaching assistant looking to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on student learning and development.

Responsibilities:
• Support class teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Lead small group interventions and provide targeted support to students with varying needs.
• Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school community.
Requirements:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable:
• Experience leading small group interventions or covering classes.
• Familiarity with special educational needs (SEN) and inclusive teaching practices.
• Proficiency with educational technology and teaching resources.
