justteachers are working with a friendly secondary school in Barnsley to find a Maths Teacher to start in January 2025. The role is full time, for a half term period covering a maternity leave. The school is well resourced with full lesson plans and schemes of work provided.
What you’ll be doing:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the curriculum and cater to students’ individual learning needs
• Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback to help improve their understanding
• Maintain a positive classroom environment, ensuring students are focused, respectful, and on-task
• Adapt teaching methods to support students with varying abilities and learning styles
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, teaching strategies, and contribute to the school’s academic goals.
What we’re looking for:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Good subject knowledge in Maths
• Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to help where needed
