Justteachers are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Special needs Support Worker in Skipton. This role includes working Monday to Friday

The pay per day is very competitive starting at £76 – £95 depending on experience, based on a 6-hour shift. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and busy school with excellent facilities and a supportive leadership team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Supporting students with special needs within a school
To support students learning, development and provide care
To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all time

You will ideally:

Have experience working within either an education or care environment, or as a youth or social worker
Experience working with special needs and/or challenging behaviours
The ability to communicate with and inspire children of all abilities.
Be happy to work with pupils on both a 1:1 and/or group basis
Be comfortable with personal care (if required)
Have the ability to improvise and support others in impromptu situations
Be able to provide two references
