Justteachers is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher to work within one of our partner Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Lincoln. The nature of this role is to work as a long-term teacher within their Nurture unit. The position involves teaching a small group of 4 students with Social and Emotion Mental health needs (SEMH). You will be teaching KS2 & KS3 Math’s and English on a daily basis whilst delivering some PSHE and Science during the week. These pupils also benefit from outdoor learning with a specialist member of staff who you will support.

The post is offered on a sliding scale from £150- £200 with the option to turn permanent with the school. This position is a full time Monday to Friday teaching position. The role offers an exciting opportunity to join a lovely SEN school with excellent facilities and a supportive leadership team.

The successful candidate will have but not essential experience working with children in a SEN or complex needs.

You will have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teaching status) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Primary or Secondary experience is accepted
  • Two education or school-based references
  • Strong commitment for raising standards
  • Experience but not essential working with SEN Children
  • Have high expectations for teaching, learning and behaviour
  • The ability to engage with pupils and make an immediate impact on the pupils learning
