We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join our team, working across various schools in Lancashire.

Role Overview:

As a Specialist SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a full-time, dynamic role that requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will be moving between different schools to cover gaps and ensure continuity of support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality educational support to SEMH students across multiple schools.
  • Adapt support strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure the well-being and progress of all students.
  • Monitor and assist with the assessment of student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Help develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with specific needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to travel and adapt to different school environments.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Driving license and access to a car is essential.
