Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in the classroom. You will work closely with students to help them achieve their full potential, providing individualized support and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt materials accordingly.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing lesson materials and maintaining records.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional periods, including lunch and break time.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
