Responsibilities: • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons that develop students’ culinary skills, nutritional understanding, and awareness of food hygiene and safety. • Teach a range of topics, including food preparation, cooking techniques, nutrition, food science, and food industry insights, according to the national curriculum. • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance learning experiences and cater to diverse learning styles. • Provide hands-on cooking demonstrations, workshops, and projects to support students in developing their practical cooking skills and creativity. • Assess student progress through practical cooking tasks, written assignments, and food product evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their development. • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore new ingredients, recipes, and cultural cuisines. • Maintain a safe and hygienic food technology classroom and kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting responsible food handling practices. About You /
Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Food Technology.
