Justteachers is a leading educational recruitment agency committed to providing schools with exceptional staff. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Chorley.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school by covering lessons for absent teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience and develop their skills in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes and manage student behavior in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain focused and on task.
  • Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required by the school.

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and working with young people.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
