Teaching Assistant SEN Coppull

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working full-time in a welcoming primary school in Coppull, Chorley, starting in September.

Job Description: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support the learning and development of students with special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored assistance to individual students, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support classroom activities and manage resources for SEN students.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Promote the social and emotional development of students.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support.
• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
