Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Worker to join our team at a primary school in Chorley. This is a full-time position where you will provide essential support to a specific student, ensuring their individual needs are met and they can fully participate in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a designated student, assisting with academic tasks, social integration, and emotional well-being.
  • Implement EHCPs (education health care plan ) and adapt teaching methods to meet the student’s needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the student’s development.
  • Monitor and document the student’s progress, reporting any concerns to the appropriate parties.
  • Assist with classroom activities and school routines as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of various learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
