Teaching Assistance Norwich

Justteachers teaching agency is recruiting for a teaching assistant to work with one of our partner primary schools located near Norwich. The school is a larger than average rural primary school that serves a diverse community. Public transport is limited and so access to your own vehicle is recommended.

This teaching assistant job will commence ASAP and is for 5 mornings per week and expected to last until October half term.  The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a Y2 that displays behaviours that can be considered challenging as well as supporting the class teacher generally throughout the day. You will be required to encourage the pupils to uphold the school’s values and ethos and support in implementing a structured routine with a view to improving behaviour.

• To succeed in this role, you will need to be a strong support worker who can engage with pupils and make an immediate impact to their education

You will have:

• Two references from an education or care provider
• Experience working within the age range 2-11

• Minimum Level 1 qualification
• Energy, enthusiasm and vision

• A strong commitment to raising standards

• The ability to communicate with and inspire children of all abilities

• Strong behaviour management skills
• Experience of providing a positive learning environment
