Role Overview:
As an SEN Maths Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons to students with SEN, ensuring that they have the opportunity to develop their numeracy skills and build confidence in mathematics. Your strong behaviour management skills will be crucial in creating a positive and structured learning environment where every student feels safe and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN, using differentiated instruction and tailored resources.
2. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment.
3. Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome academic challenges and develop essential numeracy skills.
4. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to assess student progress and implement targeted interventions as needed.
5. Foster a love for mathematics through interactive and hands-on activities that engage and inspire students.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths at the secondary level.
2. Understanding of SEN and experience working with students who may require additional support in Maths.
3. Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to maintain discipline and create a positive learning atmosphere.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
5. Resilience and adaptability in responding to the individual needs and challenges of students with SEN.
6. Enhanced DBS Check: Successful completion of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
