Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Leeds
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and materials for students with additional needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in their social and emotional development.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • A commitment to supporting the development and well-being of students.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).
