About the Role:

Justteachers, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS3/KS4 Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about education to make a real difference by supporting young learners in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, helping them to reach their full potential.
• Support students with additional learning needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs), by adapting tasks as required.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to ensure tailored support is given.
• Assist with classroom management and help maintain a safe, supportive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning and classroom preparation.
• Support students with homework, revision, and exam preparation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Experience working with students with learning needs, including SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach to working with students.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant Certificate (Level 2 or 3) are advantageous but not essential.
