Year 6 Teaching Assistant (Part Time)

Justteachers Midlands are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Whole Class Teaching Assistant to work part-time, supporting a Year 6 class in a reputable Catholic school in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant who values faith-based education and wants to make a positive impact on young learners. This role is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning.
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Help prepare resources, materials, and displays for classroom activities.
• Foster a supportive and respectful learning environment that reflects Catholic values.
• Collaborate with the teacher to assess students’ progress and contribute to their holistic development.
• Uphold and promote the school’s ethos of respect, compassion, and traditional Catholic values.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within KS2.
• Be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting children’s educational and spiritual development.
• Be respectful of and committed to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Hold relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (desirable but not essential).
