Y6 Teacher – Solihull (Maternity Cover)

Justteachers is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Year 6 teacher for a full-time maternity cover position at a welcoming and thriving primary school in Solihull. This role begins in January 2025 and will continue through to Christmas 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full classroom management of a Year 6 class
• Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Marking and assessment of student work to track progress
• Preparing pupils for end-of-year assessments (SATs)
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and leadership to maintain high educational standards
• Creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters the academic and social development of all pupils
• Engaging in regular communication with parents and guardians to report on progress

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 6
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment processes
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality education to all students
• The ability to inspire, motivate, and support pupils as they prepare for their transition to secondary school
