English Teacher – Norwich 

We are currently recruiting for a large, inclusive secondary school in Norwich dedicated to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. The school provides a diverse student body and talented staff make the school a vibrant place where every individual is encouraged to excel and achieve to their full potential.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS4 English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English education to students across various year groups, with a large focus on GCSE students – creating engaging lesson plans, and supporting the development of literacy skills.

The role is required to begin after the October half term on a full time basis and will continue through to the end of the academic year.

The school will be interviewing for the position on the 30th September.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for literature and language.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree in English or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
