Maths Teacher in Norwich

Justteachers are currently working with a friendly and supportive secondary school in Norwich, who are looking to recruit an experienced Maths Teacher for an immediate start.

We are excited to offer a new and dynamic opportunity for a Maths Teacher to become an integral part of the team. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and innovation to the Maths department, inspiring students and helping them develop a deep understanding and appreciation for mathematics.

The school are committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment and pride themselves on a collaborative staff culture and dedication to nurturing both students and teachers.

Ideally the school are looking for a full time teacher but will consider part time for the right candidate.

There is also opportunity to become a permanent staff member at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across various year groups, tailored to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that stimulate interest and promote mathematical thinking.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to departmental development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student achievement and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve their best.
  • Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not essential.
