HLTA – King’s Lynn

We are currently working with a large Primary school, located in the King’s Lynn area, who are looking to appoint a part-time HLTA with an immediate start. The role is 2-3 days a week and will include covering PPA across KS1 and KS2. To apply for this role you must have HLTA qualification or equivalent. 

The  school are a friendly and supportive primary setting in the heart of King’s Lynn and strive to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support class teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Lead small group interventions and provide targeted support to students with varying needs.
• Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school community.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

• Experience leading small group interventions or covering classes.
• Familiarity with special educational needs (SEN) and inclusive teaching practices.
• Proficiency with educational technology and teaching resources.
