About the Role:

justteachers, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher for a well-regarded secondary school in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Plan, prepare, and implement creative and comprehensive lesson plans that cater to a range of learning abilities and styles.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and academic achievement.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their skills in reading, writing, and literature analysis.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the English curriculum and collaborate with department colleagues on teaching strategies.
• Prepare students for GCSE English exams by helping them build confidence and competence in exam techniques and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and attainment in line with school policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Experience teaching English at the secondary school level, including experience with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and current educational practices in English education.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in both literature and language topics.
• Commitment to professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest educational trends and resources.
