About the Role:

Justteachers, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work at a reputable secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with pre-set lesson plans.
• Manage student behavior according to the school’s behavior policy, maintaining a productive and respectful learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4, adapting to the unique needs of each class.
• Provide guidance and support to students, ensuring they understand the lesson content and stay on track.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of students while in your care.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and provide feedback on student progress and classroom management.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and performance during your supervision.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in sports coaching, dance coaching, or working as an aspiring teacher is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong understanding of secondary education, with the flexibility to cover a variety of subjects.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A proactive, calm, and adaptable approach to classroom management.
