Drama and Dance Teacher in Norwich – Immediate Start

Justteachers thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for an energetic Drama Teacher to join the creative team within a large Norwich secondary school. The successful candidate will have a passion for theatre and performance, with the drive to inspire and engage students in the arts. The school are a dynamic, friendly, and supportive secondary school, dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic and engaging Drama lessons to students across various year groups.
  • Develop and execute innovative lesson plans that encourage creativity, self-expression, and teamwork.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development in the performing arts.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore and showcase their talents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Drama curriculum and contribute to school productions and events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Drama curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for Drama and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential.
