KS2 Teaching Assistant Thetford

JustTeachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join one of our lovely partnered Primary Schools in Thetford. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education, working with pupils aged 7-11 years old. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher with the delivery of the KS2 curriculum.
• Provide support to individual students or small groups to enhance learning.
• Help to prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Support students with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally within KS2.
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A patient and caring approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
