We are currently looking for a flexible and reliable Cover Teacher to work at across a number of primary schools based throughout King’s Lynn. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working across different year groups, meeting new people and ensuring students continue to receive high-quality education in the absence of their regular teachers.

Role Overview: As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. This role requires adaptability, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students in their learning. It’s an ideal position for teachers seeking variety and the chance to make a difference in various aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons across different subjects and year groups, following the provided lesson plans.
• Maintain a well-managed and disciplined classroom, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities, encouraging participation and academic progress.
• Ensure that all set work is completed by students and provide feedback where necessary.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all students, including those with additional needs.
• Liaise with permanent staff to ensure continuity of learning and to report on student progress.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level across multiple subjects.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas and with different age groups.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one (Justteachers can assist with this process).
