About the Role:

Justteachers is looking for a dynamic and flexible Teacher to cover Year 2 classes at a welcoming primary school in Halifax. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who enjoys working in diverse environments and can adapt to various classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality teaching and support to Year 2 students in the absence of the regular class teacher.
  • Deliver planned lessons effectively, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Follow school policies and procedures for behavior management and safeguarding.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and Year 2 requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to different teaching environments.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff.
